Willie Cameron was brought up in Perthshire near the river Almond, which is rich in fishing. As a boy his father introduced him to the world of trout fishing and when he moved to Dalavich he took up fly fishing in earnest. Willie now enjoys passing on his skills and enthusing those who are interested in his passion. The brown trout fishing in Loch Avich and Loch Awe, where you will fish and where Willie works as fishing warden, is second to none.
Weekend
The course gives an introduction to the equipment required, the basics of casting, the various basic knots used and the basic types of flies used. If you don’t have any equipment, it is available for hire. You then get to try the real thing at beautiful Loch Avich. Finally you get to try boat fishing.
Week
The week’s course starts with the same as the weekend course, then takes you to different locations in the area. You will receive fishing tuition and visit some of the most beautiful fishing locations in the area.
