Nestled on the shores of breathtaking Loch Etive, Taynult has all you need. There are excellent shops, a tearoom, a bar, a superb 9 hole golf course, tennis courts, and a post office as well. Mainline railway and bus services run to all major cities from the village.

Loch Etive Cruises: daily boat excursions run on Loch Etive to the head of the loch towards Glen Etive and Rannoch Moor.

Bonawe Iron Furnace: established in 1753, is reputed to have made cannonballs used by Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar.

Cruachan Power Station: excavated from the heart of Ben Cruachan. Visitors enter the cavern from the visitors’ centre by the side of Loch Awe.

Inverawe Smokehouse: for beautiful smoked salmon.
