The Islands

Caledonian Macbrayne: run a range of Island tours and regular ferry services.

Coastal Connection: operates a fast boat service to the Western Isles

Lismore: situated in Loch Linnhe, the island is 10 miles long by 1 mile wide.

Mull: lying off Oban is an island of tumbling burns, soaring peaks, waterfalls, wildlife, history and atmosphere. Take the kids to see where the magic of Balamory happens.

Iona: a small island near Mull, featuring one of Scotland's most revered sites, Iona Abbey

Seil: 12 miles south of Oban the island is connected to the mainland by the humpbacked "Bridge over the Atlantic". Or visit Easdale a small island next to Seil.

Tiree: the most westerly of the Inner Hebrides, Tiree has great views from horizon to horizon.
